Interim Transformation Project Manager
C £450 per day – 4 days / week
2 year project
We require an Interim Project manager to successfully manage project deliverables and workstreams for our local authority client’s transformation programme. Acting as an advocate for the programme and ensuring individual projects co-ordinate with the wider programme and achieve the overarching objectives. Projects will be delivered in a consistent and professional manner, designing, delivering, and updating project documents and plans, in accordance with governance arrangements. A key factor in this programme is the collaborative working and engagement required across the programme and wider team, all services, partners, key stakeholders, and Workstream Boards, establishing and delivering shared projects and shared agendas across the council.
You will therefore need to lead and manage the development and delivery of designated workstreams and project deliverables, work in partnership with Heads of Service, Managers, technical experts, and key stakeholders to form and sustain an effective and collaborative working relationship and lead a virtual team in the delivery of project plans, allocating tasks as appropriate, identifying risks, issues and dependencies, considering best practice and current options and ultimately making decisions in the best interest of the project.
You will need to be experienced in managing tasks and activities to deliver a specific outcome and have a proven track record in resource management, and the ability to predict, track, analyse and report resourcing requirement, developing and managing a detailed project schedule and work plan, providing project updates and escalating as required on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about deliverables, adjustments, and progress.
Educated to degree level and experienced in leading on complex projects, you will have a good understanding of relationship between programme and project objectives and how these can be maintained. You will need excellent interpersonal and team working skills with the ability to build strong productive relationships and achieve results and possess excellent analysis skills with a solid understanding of how to obtain, analyse and review data from a variety of sources and a keen eye for detail.
