Job Description
Principal Ecological Consultants
An exciting opportunity to join a major and growing professional services division of a substantial group.
You will be responsible for managing the technical oversight and delivery of land management activities across multiple work streams in England and Scotland and be a key part and lead of the delivery team.
This will include Project Management of multiple work streams, including individual technical call off projects covering a wide range of topics and utilising a range of specialist internal consultants and sub-contractors, leading and/or contributing towards bids, tenders, pricing, budget and project finance management.
Overseeing and reviewing high quality ecological and environmental reports and outputs, including PEA, EcIA, protected species surveys, BNG assessments, site land management plans and CEMP, Data gathering and mapping using GIS, including QGIS and writing and reviewing risk assessment and method statements (RAMS) for safe site work.
You will have an in-depth knowledge of ecological mitigation, wildlife legislation and survey techniques, excellent written and spoken communication skills, practical understanding of Habitat creation, good commercial acumen and high levels of influencing ability to make a difference.
Full membership of CIEEM / IEMA / CIWEM with a relevant first degree.
